Submission Guidelines

Please ensure your submission adheres to our submission guidelines. Submissions that do not follow our formatting rules may be automatically rejected.

Submission Deadline

We are accepting submissions until Tuesday, March 31st, 2026, at which point our submission form will become inactive.

Submission Types

We are looking to display a variety ofartwork, photography, music, film, poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, and academic writing from Augsburg’s students and staffmembers in our 2025-26 issue. Ifdesired, each applicant may submit multiple types ofsubmissions.

Simultaneous Submissions

We accept simultaneous submissions. This means you can submit the same piece to other magazines ifyou have submitted it to us. However, if that piece is accepted at another publication, please notify Thó Wiŋ at thowinmagazine@gmail.com.

Submission Format

Artwork/Photography: Up to five images. Must be in .pdf, .png, or .jpeg format
Music/Film: Up to five submissions. Must provide a permanent link for QR code creation. You may create your own QR code ifyou wish to personalize it, otherwise the standard black and white QR code format will be used.
Poetry: Up to six poems, each titled on a new page.
Fiction, nonfiction: Up to seven standard printer pages.
Academic Writing: Up to seven standard printer pagers, MLA, APA, or Chicago format.

With the exception ofpoetry, written submissions must be in 12pt Times New Roman font, double spaced, in .pdfor .docx format.

Poetry submissions must be formatted as desired for print. Unless font is an important element ofthe poem itself, 12 pt Times New Roman is preferred. Ifalignment to margins, font, and/or font size are intentional and should be preserved, please indicate this in the "Additional notes" section ofthe form. Must be in .pdfor .docx format.

Every year, we post a few students’ work to our [Featured Page]. When submitting your work, you will have the option to opt in or out ofthis process. Choosing to opt out will NOT affect your chances of publication.
